Academic enrichment, science exploration, and structured fun for TK–8th grade students in Walnut, California.

A Balanced Academic & Enrichment Experience

The Cross Schools of Education Summer Camp provides a structured and engaging program designed to strengthen academic skills while offering hands-on science exploration and enrichment activities.

Students participate in morning academic instruction and afternoon specialty modules, creating a full-day experience that blends learning with fun.

Daily Schedule

Morning Session (9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.):

  • English Language Arts: phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, writing

  • Mathematics (instruction based on individual student level)

    • Morning snack and recess (10:30 – 11:00 a.m.)

Lunch (12:00 – 1:00 p.m.)

Afternoon Session (1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.):

  • Bible Class / Social Emotional Learning

  • Weekly Science Modules with experiments

  • Rotational Enrichment: geography, American history, social studies, film history, art, theater, and more

    • Afternoon snack & recess (3:00 – 3:40 p.m.)

  • Gravity (Rockets)

  • The Amazing Human Body

  • Plant/Animal Science

  • Microscopes

  • Electricity & Magnetism (Light Bulb, etc.)

Fun Activities

Students enjoy themed activity days and special events throughout the summer, including:

  • Ice Cream Day

  • Slushie Day

  • Movie & Game Days

  • Indoor/Outdoor Miniature Golf

  • Bocce Ball

  • Water Play

  • Father’s Day Celebration (June 19, 2026)

  • Independence Day Celebration (July 3, 2026)

Students participate in biweekly library visits and local field trips designed to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. Past destinations have included:

  • Suzanne Park Picnic & Games

  • Vons Financial Literacy Visit

Enrollment Information

Summer Camp is open to TK through 8th grade students. Programs are structured by age group to ensure appropriate academic level and engagement.
